Pokemon Scarlet & Violet – Paldean Fates Card List

With the word “fates” in its name, it’s easy to assume that this set will be more expensive than most of the expansions in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet era.

Pokemon TCG: Paldean Fates introduced a more sophisticated way to label cards featuring Shiny Pokemon. Shiny Rare as they are now called, can only come in one in every four packs.

So, if Shiny hunting is your favorite way to kill time in the Pokemon games, you will surely love this set, as apart from pulling those “usual” Shinies, you also have a small chance of getting one of the three Special Illustration Rares that are worth a lot according to the recent market data.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paldean Fates Expansion Highlights

Shiny Pokemon cards. Shiny Pokemon in Paldean Fates are categorized by two rarity symbols: Shiny Rare (one star) and Shiny Ultra Rare (two stars). They are still as powerful as the regular variants, though their low pull rates make them elusive to many players.

Cute full-art cards. Check out the full art cards in this set and you’ll get what we mean. From the chibi-style characters in the Clive card, to the group of Pawmi sleeping together, getting a full art alone is a blessing when opening a Paldean Fates booster pack.

Most Anticipated Cards in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paldean Fates

Charizard ex. This card works exactly the same as the Obsidian Flames’ Charizard ex, but it features a Shiny Charizard, which is widely considered as one of the coolest Shinies ever designed.

Gardevoir ex. This card is already popular for its Psychic Embrace ability, but since it shows a Shiny Gardevoir, collectors will surely keep their eyes on one of its copies.

Mew ex. A card that copies the opponent Pokemon’s move; this Shiny Mew proves itself as a unique Pokemon that carries the genes of all known Pokemon on the planet.

Shiny Rare Pikachu. This Pikachu card might look like a regular Pikachu at first glance, but this orange-colored Pikachu is a Shiny variant that apparently captured the hearts of many TCG fans, which is why it’s also one of the most expensive cards in the entire set.
