Despite the absence of a log out button, it’s actually possible to unbind our account from your Pokemon TCGP app.
This guide will show you how to do it.
Logging Out of Pokemon TCG Pocket
For some reason, the Pokemon TCGP developers decided to not include the log out option in the app, making it look impossible to remove your account from the game.
Perhaps it’s the intention of the developers to discourage owning multiple accounts to prevent players from exploiting the option, but since they never gave an official explanation for this question, we’ll probably never know.
The feasible method of logging out of Pokemon TCGP is kind of a misnomer, as all you need to do is uninstall the game.
As long as you linked your account in either your Nintendo or Google account, all of your progress will be saved even if you remove Pokemon TCGP from your phone. This way, if you want to log back in, you don’t need to start all over.
How to Transfer Your Pokemon TCGP Account to a New Phone
Be sure to always remember the credentials of the Google or Nintendo account you linked to your Pokemon TCGP account.
Also, unless you want to re-roll or restart your digital Pokemon card collection, do not make the mistake of pressing the Delete Save Data.
- Step 1: Find the Pokemon TCGP app on your phone and uninstall it.
- Step 2: Using your other phone, head over to Google Play or App Store and install Pokemon TCG Pocket.
- Step 3: After the installation, open the app and link your Google or Nintendo account to the game.
- Step 4: You’re done, and you can now proceed playing Pokemon TCG on a new phone.
Switching to a new account is also the same process, with the difference being that you only need to uninstall and reinstall the app to the same phone before logging in with your other account.
With the Reinstallation Option, Should I Create More Accounts?
After several updates, Pokemon TCGP is now filled with features that take out the advantage of owning multiple accounts.
An example of these features is the newly released trading mechanic, which requires a couple of things: Trade stamina and Trade tokens. Getting these resources will force you to monitor and play your accounts simultaneously before you can self-trade.
In other words, to play more than one Pokemon TCGP account, you’ll need a phone for each of your accounts.
There’s nothing wrong with owning multiple accounts in Pokemon TCG Pocket, but it is highly discouraged as it won’t give you any significant benefit apart from being able to open packs more than twice a day.
Additionally, you should also refrain from doing something more than having alt accounts since you could violate the game’s Terms of Service. Any type of data tampering or engaging in real-life trading deals might get your account suspended or even worse, banned.
