Barnes and Noble Store

Is there a Barnes & Noble store near you? For this post, let’s find out if the popular bookstore also sells Pokemon cards, so you can have a better location that can help you grow your collection.

Pokemon TCG has grown to a point where it’s now possible to buy the franchise’s products at various types of stores, like those that specialize in selling grocery items, video game consoles, children’s toys, and even those that offer home appliances.

Thanks to the popularity of the Pokemon anime and video games, many people are now keen on buying some Pokemon TCG booster packs every time a new set comes out.

Purchasing Pokemon cards online can sometimes be risky, especially with the existence of digital shops that are selling counterfeit products. Despite the advancements in modern technology, it is still safer to buy at brick-and-mortar shops.

So, with that in mind, does Barnes & Noble sell Pokemon cards? Definitely yes!

Getting Your Pokemon TCG Booster Bundles and ETBs at Barnes & Noble

Barnes & Noble randomly replenishes their stocks of assorted Pokemon TCG products, which are usually found behind their register, most likely due to security reasons.

If you can’t see any Pokemon TCG in the Barnes & Shop that you’re in, feel free to ask any of their employees if there’s any stock available, as well as the aisle where they can be found so you can just return to the same spot the next time you’ll buy again.

Other Shops That Sell Authentic Pokemon cards

Here is a list of other well-known shops where you can buy real Pokemon cards. And no, these aren’t your typical TCG shops where you can obviously buy and sometimes even sell your collectible cards.

GameStop

Apart from being a reputable company for selling video games, consoles, and other related accessories, GameStop also has shops where you can buy different trading cards, be it Pokemon TCG, Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana, or NBA cards. Recently, GameStop can also offer card grading services via PSA.

Target

Today, you can buy almost everything from Target, including Pokemon cards. You can find Target’s collectible trading cards at any of their shop’s toy sections.

Walmart

Like Target, you can also buy Pokemon TCG products from Walmart. However, it’s advisable to go after Target instead, as there are reports of fake Pokemon cards being sold at some Walmart branches.

Costco

Costco is a good place for those sellers or big-time collectors to buy large amounts of Pokemon TCG products. Since Costco focuses on selling wholesale, their stocks can get drained quickly, so you sometimes need to go early to their stores if you need to buy lots of items.

Best Buy

This familiar electronics company has multiple stores in Canada and the US that sell Pokemon cards. Unlike some stores, you can choose from a variety of Pokemon TCG products in Best Buy, which are organized into sets.

Toys “R” Us

Toys “R” Us is one of the few places where you can be rest assured that every product you’ll buy is genuine, especially if we’re talking about Pokemon cards.

Many Pokemon fans, particularly those who have been in the hobby for many years, are shocked to see that this old store is still up and running.

In fact, there are still some Toys ‘R Us stores all over Canada, and some of the Pokemon TCG products that you can find there can be cheaper than other stores.

Final Thoughts

Since Barnes & Noble did have Pokemon cards in their inventory, you can now head over to one of its nearest shops and grab some booster bundles today!

While there are different shops for you to choose from, Barnes & Noble is an excellent choice if you’re into the book-collecting hobby as well.

Just remember, before buying any Pokemon TCG products, it’s better to decide which set you want to buy rather than just getting any random box that you can find.

At the time of writing, Pokemon TCG is currently in the Scarlet & Violet era, so you might want to go for some sets with good pull rates like Paldean Fates and Shrouded Fable.

On the other hand, if you’re lucky enough to find some ETBs or booster bundles from the old sets, don’t hesitate to buy them right away before someone else does, assuming you have the budget.
