Mega Zygarde in Pokemon TCG Perfect Order

The introduction of a new Pokemon TCG era that highlights Mega Pokemon is indeed a timely decision for the franchise, as the mainline games also added a bunch of new Mega Pokemon forms in their latest entry, Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

And hence, the Perfect Order set was born, an expansion featuring Mega Zygarde as its mascot Pokemon. Perfect order will also add cards depicting other Megas, especially those from the game’s latest DLC, the Mega Dimension.

Today, we’ll give you the latest updates about this new set, specifically all the Mega Pokemon cards that you should expect ahead of its launch date.

Every Mega Evolution Pokemon in Perfect Order So Far

The following Mega Evolution cards will be available in the market upon the release of Pokemon TCG: Perfect Order. We’ll try to update this list in the coming months once The Pokemon Company publishes more information.

Mega Zygarde ex

Mega Zygarde Ex, One Of The Mega Evolution Pokemon In Perfect Order

As of writing, Mega Zygarde ex was the only confirmed Mega included in Perfect Order. However, based on online reports and the fact that the set will be based on the Japanese set’s Nihil Zero, Perfect Order will contain a total of four new Mega Pokemon cards.

With Mega Zygarde taking center stage in the set, it’s no surprise that its card could become one of the strongest in the current meta, especially as a 300-HP Basic Pokemon capable of unleashing two incredibly powerful attacks.

Mega Zygarde’s first attack, Gaia Wave, costs just three Fighting-type Energy and deals 200 damage, with the added bonus of reducing the damage Mega Zygarde takes on the next turn by 30. This move cements Mega Zygarde as an absolute tank, giving players crucial time to set up their main Pokemon.

Its second attack, Nullifying Zero, is a high-risk, high-reward move that can potentially end the game in a single turn, depending on the player’s luck with the coin toss.

Mega Starmie ex

Mega Starmie Ex From Nihil Zero

The following cards, starting with this Mega Starmie ex, are only featured in the Japanese set Nihil Zero, but rest assured that we’ll get an English version of these cards soon.

Based on translations, Mega Starmie ex has 330 HP, with two attacks that might become an excellent addition to Water-type decks. Mega Starmie ex has a move called Jet Blow, which deals 120 damage with just a Water-type energy, and it can also damage one of the opponent’s Benched Pokemon.

Mega Starmie’s strongest move is called Nebula Beam, a straightforward attack that deals 210 damage with three Colorless energy cards.

Mega Skarmory ex

Compared to the other two Megas mentioned above, it seemed like Mega Skarmory ex might become the weakest Mega Pokemon card in the set. It has a rather low HP of 260, which is unusual considering that it’s a Steel-type Pokemon.

Mega Skarmory EX has just one attack, Sonic Sniper, which deals 220 damage to any opposing Pokemon on the field, but it comes at a cost: all Energy attached to Mega Skarmory must be returned to the player’s deck.

Mega Clefable ex

Mega Clefable Ex From Nihil Zero

Unfortunately, we don’t have any data yet on what a Mega Clefable ex card would look like, since it hasn’t been released yet.

It’s not even present in the Nihil Zero set, and all we know right now is that this Pokemon is still included in various artwork featured in Perfect Order’s future products, such as the booster packs, booster box, and booster bundles.

As a Flying-/Fairy-type, and based on the types Clefable has had in previous sets, Mega Clefable EX could become a Colorless or Psychic-type card. Only time will tell if its moves will make an impact in competitive play.

Other Rumored Mega in Perfect Order

While various online publications confirmed that there will only be four Mega Pokemon in the Perfect Order expansion, there’s a small chance that we might also see other Mega Pokemon cards, such as this Mega Gallade ex from Nihil Zero:
